Quick tip #2 - Exfoliation

- Exfoliating your skin regularly is important to keeping it smooth and healthy. If your skin is oily exfoliate 1 - 2 times a week with a facial scrub to keep oil and blackheads at bay, exfoliating oily skin to often can over stimulate and cause more oil to be produced. If your skin is dry you can exfoliate 2 - 3 times a week with a gentle chemical/enzyme exfoliator which will loosen the dead skin cells that build up on dry skin without scrubbing and also help to minimise fine lines. If you would like more information comment below :) x

Magic mitt review, Removes makeup in a flash with no cleanser!

Magic mitt is a makeup removing mitt which will remove all your makeup including mascara with no cleanser!

I tried out this product when a Jane Iredale mineral makeup rep came into the salon where i work, she offered to demonstrate some makeup techniques on myself and the girls and she gave us a magic mitt to remove our makeup and said that we could keep them to use at home afterwards. We all thought they were really handy and loved the idea of them so i thought i would share it with you guys :)

To use Magic mitt you simply place it onto your hand and dampen it with water, then just wipe away all the makeup from your face. It works as it is made of microfibers which break the surface tension of oils that bond makeup to the skin.

This is what Jane Iredale say about there magic mitt :

This cleansing process promotes the health of the skin because it does not affect the skin's natural acid mantle

When this beneficial barrier is intact, it aids the skin in protecting itself from harmful and invasive bacteria
Not only will your skin thank you for using Magic Mitt, but you will also save yourself minutes at the beginning and end of each day.
When i used this at home i found that my makeup did come away pretty easily, my mascara was easily removed and my face looked clean. I love the idea of it as on days when im feeling tired and to lazy to do my normal daily cleansing routine this is really quick and easy and i can go to bed knowing im not sleeping with my make up on. Its a great substitute for makeup remover wipes as you only need to buy this once and if you wash it with antibacterial hand wash it will last a year which is a lot better than buying a pack of wipes every few weeks. Make up remover wipes may also contain alcohol and artificial fragrance/preservatives which can have a drying effect on the skin and can cause sensitivity, so because your only using the mitt and no product you know that no nasties are going onto your skin. I really like this mitt and ill be using it regularly for my lazy days and would recommended it to everyone :).

Todays makeup look :)

Ive really been loving purple recently! So today i used purple for my eyeshadow.

I used a sparkly white shadow as a base and then blended two purple colours into the crease. I wanted the colour a bit darker in the outer corner so i dampened my brush and this picked up more colour. I think this look is really pretty and delicate :)

What do you think? xx

My Mystic Tan experience!

Mystic tan is an automatic spray tanning booth and yesterday i tried it out!

This is what the booth looks like inside. The black panel has 3 'spray guns' which move up and down to cover all areas on your body.

This is the first time Ive seen or tried a spray tanning booth like this. I prepared for my tan as normal by applying barrier cream to my hands and feet and putting on a stylish hair net, the machine sprays each side of your body around 4 times and then stops, it literally takes 60 seconds and your done!

The booth is great as its unmanned so if you don't like the idea of undressing in front of somebody like you would for a manual spray tan then this gives you more privacy. Its also quick, you can be tanned, dressed and out in 5 minutes which is brilliant if you need to squeeze in a last minute tan.

I let the solution to develop for 4-6 hours and then showered and moisturised. At first the colour looked pretty light but came out lovely and looked so natural and even, my hands and feet look fine which is always good as these areas can sometimes come out a lot darker than the rest of your body.

At work today everyone i saw asked about my tan, asking if i had been away or what tan i had used and they all said it looks so real! As the day went on the tan seemed to develop more and i felt like i was getting darker. I think this might be the nicest spray tan Ive had and i would have it again definitely.

And here's how it looks!

Thanks for reading! :) see you soon xxx
