Bare minerals first impressions

Hey! :)

So today i was really excited because my bareMinerals flawless in a flash try me kit came! Since i attended a dermalogica professional skin care training course it inspired me really to find some makeup that was natural and wasn't bad for my skin as i didn't want to have a really good skin care routine and then put lots of horrible makeup on top. So when i saw this on QVC i snapped it up!

The kits includes an original SPF 15 foundation, a mineral veil powder, a blush, a marvellous moxie lip gloss, a flawless definition curl and length mascara and a flawless face brush and it cost around £26 which is a bargain! bareMinerals uses natural minerals from the earth to make their products and believe that they have lots of benefits on the skin and as the ingredients are natural its good for you.

As you can tell by them being covered in powder i am very messy when getting ready.
I was a bit sceptical about the foundation as i normally would wear a liquid foundation and a powder over the top so i wasn't sure if this would give me as much coverage but it is actually pretty good  :). Its really quick to apply, you just buff it all over your face with the brush. I went for the medium beige shade and its  lovely on my skin, it has a really nice golden glow to it. I tried it without any concealer but i felt i needed a bit more coverage under my eyes and on my cheeks where i get a bit red. I think using a tinted moisturiser underneath and a bit of concealer then it would be perfect. Overall i would defo buy it in the full size.

I tryed the mineral veil over the top, this is a finishing powder but i found it made me look really pale so i probably wont use that regularly.

The lip gloss is a-mazing! In the bottle it looks pretty dark but when i put it on it was pretty much the same colour as my lips so it looks really natural. It smells like coconut slightly which it my fave! and it feels really moisturising which i love because I'm a bit of a lip balm addict.

The blusher is a lovely colour.

The faux pas is a bright pink so i didn't put a lot on to start with and then built it up, i think it suited my complexion really nicely. I do like it on myself but there isn't really any amazing features about it:). It comes in a compact with a mirror which is always good though!

And lastly the mascara. The brush makes your lashes look lovely and separated, although i normally go for plastic/rubber mascara brushes as i find they separate the lashes better this worked really well. Its also buildable and my lashes stayed curled after applying it which is always a good sign as some water based mascaras can make your lashes flop and doesn't hold a curl.

If your thinking about trying bareMinerals then its defo worth it.
